CEO of subsidiary in France: AMDA Energies
Originally from the Toulouse region (Occitania), Senior Mechanical Engineer from INSA in Toulouse (France), and Master in Renewable Energies from the University of Zaragoza, Adrien has extensive experience in the energy sector and large-scale solar projects.
Adrien has an excellent knowledge of the rural environment, having grown up in a family farming business, now organic. To this he adds his experience in the integration of socio-community plans, key for the development of renewables in the particular context of the French market. Adrien has more than 10 years of experience in the energy and renewable energy industry, leading the development of more than 1.5 GW of solar and wind projects, and the construction of more than 600MW, both in the private market and in company auctions of distribution.
Since 2015, Adrien has been the Utility Scale Projects Development Manager (over 75MW) for Sun Power Mexico, the photovoltaic subsidiary of French oil company TOTAL. The team led by Adrien executed more than 500MW with PPA, both via Long-Term Auctions, as well as bilateral contracts with private offtakers.
It is important to point out the special approach to the design of socio-environmental and community plans (public consultations, indigenous consultations) in line with the requirements of the financing entities (IFC guidelines, Equator Principles, ILO-169...etc.); as well as the entire selling process of the projects with final investors (Lenova, Atlas Renovables, Artha Capital). Previously, Adrien was in charge of creating and directing the South African subsidiary of AMDA Energía (AE AMD) since 2010. In that responsibility, he developed, presented for the auction, financed, and carried out two winning projects from the first round of the South African REIPP (33 MW), and a wide portfolio of projects that participated and were winners in the following rounds.
