Cookies policy

AMDA ENERGIA, SA (hereinafter referred to as AMDA), the editor and company responsible for this website, wishes to inform you that this website uses its own and third-party analytical cookies for profiling based on user browsing habits. Please note that we share information about your use of our website with Google, who may combine it with other information you have provided to them or that they have collected from your use of their services.

Acceptance of this Policy implies that the user has been clearly and fully informed about the use of data storage and retrieval devices (cookies) and that AMDA has the user’s consent for the use of cookies under the terms of Article 22 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSICE, in Spanish).

1. What is a cookie, and what is it used for?

Cookies are files downloaded to your computer, smartphone, tablet, etc., when accessing certain web pages. Cookies let a web page store and recover information about the browsing activities of a user or their computer and depending on the information they contain and how the computer is used, they may be used to recognise the user on a later visit.

The collection of cookies from all our users helps us improve the quality of our website, allowing us to monitor which pages are useful, which are not, and which can be improved. Under no circumstances will cookies damage your computer. However, their being active helps us identify and solve errors.

2. Classification of cookies

Cookies can be classified:

  1. According to who manages them:
    1. First-party cookies: They are those that are sent to your computer from our computers or domains and from which we provide the service you request.
    2. Third-party cookies: They are those that are sent to your computer from a computer or domain not managed by us but by another collaborating company. Such as, for example, those used by social media.

  2. According to how long they remain active:
    1. Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that remain in your browser’s cookie file until you leave the website, so none remains registered on your computer’s hard drive. The information obtained through these cookies is used to analyse web traffic patterns.
    2. Persistent cookies: these are stored on your hard drive, and our website reads them each time you visit our site. A persistent cookie has a fixed expiry date. The cookie will stop working after that date.

  3. According to their purpose:
    1. Technical cookies: These are necessary for browsing and the proper functioning of our website. They allow, for example, controlling traffic and data communication or sharing content on social media.
    2. Personalisation cookies: They allow you to access the service with a set of general predefined features according to a series of criteria, such as the language, the type of browser used to access the service, the regional configuration from which it is accessed, etc.
    3. Analysis cookies: They are cookies processed by third parties or us and let us know the number of users we receive and allow us to measure and conduct statistical analysis on how our users use the offered service. Users’ browsing on our website is analysed to improve the offer of products or services we offer you.
    4. Advertising cookies: These are those that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that may be included on our website.
    5. Behavioural advertising cookies: These cookies store information on user behaviour obtained through continuous observation. Thanks to them, we can learn about your internet browsing habits and show you advertising related to your browsing profile.

3. Cookies we use on the web www.amda.es

In compliance with Article 22.2 of the Law on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI) and under European Directive 2009/136/CE, AMDA informs you and you consent to the use of cookies on our website by simply browsing it.

A. Analytical Cookies

Please note that we use analytical cookies. The main application we use to obtain and analyse browsing information is Google Analytics: www.google.com/analytics/ and https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/cookie-usage which is a service provided by Google Inc, a Delaware corporation whose principal place of business is at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View (California), CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be directly transmitted to and stored by Google on their servers. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also share this information with third parties when required to do so by law or when such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.

Google Analytics is a simple, easy-to-use tool that helps website owners measure how users interact with site content. When a user browses the pages of a website, Google Analytics provides the owner of the website with JavaScript tags (libraries) to record information about the page a user has viewed, for example, the URL of the page. Google Analytics JavaScript libraries use cookies HTTP to “remember” what a user has done on previous pages or interactions with the website.

Google Analytics supports two JavaScript libraries (tags) for measuring website usage: analytics.js and ga.js.

The analytics.js JavaScript library is part of Universal Analytics and uses a single source cookie containing an anonymous identifier to differentiate users.

By default, this library sets cookies at the top-level domain, excluding the first dot, and sets the cookie path at the root level (/).

This library sets these cookies:

Nombre de la cookie Duración Descripción
_ga 2 años Se usa para distinguir a los usuarios
_gid 24 horas Se usa para distinguir a los usuarios
_gat 1 minuto Se usa para limitar el porcentaje de solicitudes. Si has implementado Google Analytics mediante Google Tag Manager, esta cookies se llamará _dc_gtm_<property-id>.

B. Technical Cookies

This website also uses technical cookies to operate the website, specifically to determine whether the user has accepted the use of cookies and for the security of the website, protecting us from hacks and malware. The deactivation of these cookies by blocking cookies may prevent the correct operation of some of the website’s functionalities.

4. How can I set or disable cookies?

You can allow, block or delete the cookies installed on your computer by changing the setting on your browser. You can allow or block cookies and delete your browsing data (including cookies) from the browser you use. Please refer to the options and instructions provided by your browser for this. If you accept third-party cookies, you will need to delete them from your browser options. You can find information on how to do this if you use any of these browsers:

AMDA disclaims any responsibility for the use and purposes that Google Inc. may make of the data obtained through this process. You can see Google’s privacy policy at the following link https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=es.
